Authors submitting Allergy and Asthma Proceedings have the option of designating the electronic publication of their accepted manuscript as “Open Access”. This is a powerful tool, which results in the widest form of electronic dissemination. Open access articles are freely available for personal noncommercial use, via the Internet for immediate worldwide open access to the full text of articles. Also included is the option to download and print single copies (one per user). To further enhance the dissemination of “Open Access” manuscripts, at the time of e-publication, an electronic table of contents (eTOC) announcement is sent by broadcast e-mail to all relevant medical specialists in the U.S. A break-down of this distribution is available on request.

Why publish in an Open access format?
Your article will obtain more citations.
All interested readers can read, download, and/or print single copies of open access articles at no cost! (for personal noncommercial use)
Your article can be read by potentially millions of readers, which is incomparable to publishing in a journal which offers only a traditional subscriber access format.
“Open Access” titles will be clearly marked as being free for personal noncommercial use only at both the journal’s Ingentaconnect home page and well as on the broadcast announcement of the eTOC.
Open access articles undergo the same peer-review and quality control as any other scholarly manuscript. Moreover, all articles are indexed by PubMed, Google and Google Scholar, therefore providing the maximum exposure to the articles.
